Discovery Center Great Hall.
This interactive event, lead by Town Planner, Walter Ramsey, is the third and final community workshop for Canal District Master Plan- a redevelopment plan for the 16 acres of former mill sites along the Cana from the Turners Falls-Gill Bridge to Sixth Street. The plan is being developed with support from MassDevelopment. The Commonwealth is expected to invest upwards of $40M into the Canal district over the next 7 years so things are really starting to heat up after decades of decline along the river. Come learn what is in store.
Attendees will have the opportunity to review and comment on various market-driven development scenarios and visualizations for the former mill sites, which will be presented by the Town's consultants Dietz+ Company Architects. Attendees are invited to review previous presentations and draft reports may be reviewed here, too, however attendance at a previous planning workshop is not required.
Pizza and light refreshments will be served.
