Great Stories Club for Teens

Great Stories Club

Thursday, January 4, 3:00 pm until 4:30 pm
Join us at the Brick House on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays. Thanks to a grant from the American Library Association, teens can read 4 Science Fiction books between October and January.

The GSC is a Montague Public Libraries program hosted by the Brick House.

1st & 3rd Thursdays 3:00-4:30pm Oct 5 & 19*/ Nov 2 & 16*/ Dec 7 & 21*/ Jan 4 & 18*
*3rd Thursdays will include an art activity, with local artist, Caroline Wampole.

The Great Stories Club asks: How can we imagine and dream of our shared futures together, alongside each other, in order to create better tomorrows?

This is not your traditional book club! Each month we'll highlight 1 of the 4 books. Have a busy schedule and don't have time to read the entire book? Not a problem! We'll be offering various ways to particpate in the GSC - you can doodle, paint or draw while you listen to a few chapters of the books read aloud by Angela or Grae. Each GSC meeting will include some sort of artistic component. Teens can keep the books!

OCTOBER: “The Marrow Thieves” by Cherie Dimaline
NOVEMBER: “The Sound of Stars” by Alechia Dow
DECEMBER: “Across a Field of Starlight” by Blue Delliquanti
JANUARY: “Victories Greater Than Death” by Charlie Jane Anders

Snacks will always be served!
