Great Stories Club for Teens
Wednesday, October 25, 2023, 2:30 pm until 4:00 pm
Join us at the TFHS Library twice a month. Thanks to a grant from the American Library Association, teens can read 4 Science Fiction books between October and January.
The GSC is a Montague Public Libraries program hosted by TFHS.
Wednesdays 2:35pm - Oct 4 & 25/ Nov 1 & 29/ Dec 6 & 20/ Jan 3 & 24 - 222 Turnpike Rd, Montague, MA 01351, 2nd floor
The Great Stories Club asks: How can we imagine and dream of our shared futures together, alongside each other, in order to create better tomorrows?
This is not your traditional book club! Each month we'll highlight 1 of the 4 books. Have a busy schedule and don't have time to read the entire book? Not a problem! We'll be offering various ways to particpate in the GSC - you can doodle, paint or draw while you listen to a few chapters of the books read aloud by Angela or Grae. Each GSC meeting will include some sort of artistic component.
OCTOBER: “The Marrow Thieves” by Cherie Dimaline
NOVEMBER: “The Sound of Stars” by Alechia Dow
DECEMBER: “Across a Field of Starlight” by Blue Delliquanti
JANUARY: “Victories Greater Than Death” by Charlie Jane Anders
There will be opportunities to enter to win prizes just for showing up. Snacks will always be served!
