Welcome Makayla!

MPL’s Children’s Programs Assistant. Come say hi to Makayla at the Carnegie Library for the Valentine Card-Making event Sat, Feb 11, 10:00-2:00 or at her weekly Story Time (Wed 10AM) and Playgroup (Thurs 10AM) at Montague Center Library.

We are thrilled to welcome Makayla to the Montague Public Libraries' team! Makayla is excited to work with Youth Services Librarian, Angela Rovatti-Leonard, as they both strive to provide quality programs and services for young patrons.

Born and raised in Berkshire County, Makayla currently resides in the snowy hills of Plainfield, MA with her 3 dogs.

In 2011, Makayla earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Law & Society from Sage College of Albany, and her Master of Science degree in Library & Information Science from Syracuse University in 2022.

Makayla has a passion for early childhood literacy, and hopes to share her love of reading with others. Outside of work, Makayla likes to spend her time working on jigsaw puzzles, catching up on graphic novels, or discovering a new craft.
