The Montague Public Libraries are accepting applications for a part time Library Assistant at the Carnegie Library in Turners Falls. The Carnegie is the main library of the three Montague Public Libraries and is located on bustling Avenue A. The Carnegie will be expanding its Saturday hours starting on July 1, 2023.
As a member of Montague’s dedicated team of library staff, the duties of the library assistant include using a computerized library circulation system, shelving, and customer service. Experience working with the public and computer skills are essential.
This is a 6 hour per week position scheduled for 10:00AM to 5:00PM on Saturdays with a one-hour lunch break. Additional fill-in hours at the Carnegie Library, Montague Center Library, and Millers Falls Branch are occasionally available in addition to the 6 hours.
